Like most things in life, idiots soon got their hands on them and made their own "demotivational posters." The pictures were not the high-color potentially breath-taking shots of something that was about to be disastrous, nor were they ironically picturesque. The captions were not only no longer witty or clever. Soon they were all in the same color text. Somewhere along the line they also ceased to be demotivational or in any other way pertinent to motivation or the loss there of, nor did they deal in anyway with hope, encouragement, inspiration, or any of the other things that were originally there. Cases that did were either the exceptionally rare funny individual that remembered what "Demotivational posters" meant or, more often pure coincidenc.
When Max Taylor wins the ancestral home of Callum Chance in a game of Poker, little does he realise that the game is far from over... One by one, Max's family are murdered by the Funny Man, a demonic jester with a varied and imaginative repertoire of homicidal techniques and an irreverent sense of humour. Meanwhile, Max's brother is on his way to the mansion with a bunch on hitchhikers who will be lucky to survive the night.
